(b)
Since angle ABK = 45 degrees (BK being the diagonal of a square), so is angle BCG.
The reason is BK // CG, hence angle ABK and angle BCG are corresponding angles.

Hi Raymond, is there a easy way or rules to guide the kids to come out with the formula?

Divide all the numbers by 2:
3, 8, 15, 24
Which are
1x3, 2×4, 3×5, 4×6, ...
See the pattern?

Is it just based on experience or trial n error?

Skills & techniques which can be trained. For my students, if they take more than 30sec to come up with the general term, I'll give them another question until they can do it within 30sec... ☺

In one hour,
Taps A and B filled 1/4 of a tank
Taps B and C filled 1/3 of a tank
Taps A and C filled 1/6 of a tank
With 2 Tap A's, 2 Tap B's and 2 Tap C's they filled up
1/4 + 1/3 + 1/6 = 9/12 or 3/4 tank in an hour.
In other words the six taps will fill an empty tank in 4/3 of an hour or 1 1/3 h.
With just one Tap A, one Tap B and one Tap C, the time taken to fill 1 empty tank would be twice of 1 1/3 h or 2 2/3 hours
Hence 2 ÷ (1/4 + 1/3 + 1/6)

150 ml × 10 = 500 ml × 3
That is to meet the condition that the same amount of juice be bought for both Ng Ai and Stephanie.
(a)
Ng Ai would spent $20 on ten packets of juice, and since Ng Ai had only $30, ten packets would be the maximum number that Ng Ai could buy.
(b) Stephanie could buy only three bottles.
