Start -> A: 310 / B: 260 End -> A: 190 / B: 380 310+260 = 570

Hi,I m curious. It's only week 1 of school year. Has school started teaching problem sums?

Hong Nam Yeoh

I think they haven't really started yet. But models seems to start in P3. To be fair that looks more like a P5 problem than a P4 one.

Unless the entire class has same level of math appreciation. Else not very helpful for pitching at such difficulty level at week 1. Those who cannot match up will not feel good.

I think it depends on the year. The kids have seen some models from P2. I think this problem is ok for early in P5. (NB - I'm neither teacher nor expert)

54÷3=18 is what Janice have now. Difference in both cases are the same. 54-18=36 is the difference of 3u at first. 1u=12 which is Janice at first.
