If the plural of spiders means cannot be 1, then just the second option.

Similar to what Teo Kai Meng said, i would just approach the question as a value for A and S that fit the equation 6A + 8S = 50 I just substituted from there (A, S) = (3, 4); (7, 1)

Hi! Refer to the explanation below for details. :) (a) Angle CDE can be calculated by the following. (sum of angles CFD and CDE in Triangle CDF) 180 - 144 = 36 Because Triangle CDF is an ISOCELES triangle, angles CDE and CFD are equal in size. (angle CDE) 36 / 2 = 18 (degrees)

(b) Angle CFD = Angle CDE = 18 degrees (Angle ECF) 144 +60 - 180 = 24 (Property: Angles on a straight line have a sum of 180 degrees) Since angles ECF, EFC and CEF form a triangle, Angles ECF + CFE + CEF = 180 degrees. (Angle CEF) 180 - 24 - 18 = 138 (degrees)

Bingo! Shaded rectangle is 49 square cm. Area of B is 6 times of shaded area. (conversely, shaded area is 1/6 of B). Therefore, (Area of B) 49 x 6 = 294 A is 3/2 of B. So, (Area of A) 3/2 x 6 = 9 x shaded area (Area of unshaded part of A) = (9-1) x shaded area = 8 x 49 square cm = 392 square cm :)

Help needed...During exhibition, hall A had 384 more participants than hall B. When 120 participants left hall B & went to hall A, there were 7 times as many participants in hall A as hall B. How many participants were there in hall A at first?

Nice question on using the comparison model! When participants left Hall B, Hall A's difference with Hall B increased. 384 + 120 = 504 Then, when Hall B's participants went to Hall A, the difference increased by 120. 504 + 120 = 624 Hall A now has 7 times as many participants as in Hall B. Let the number of participants in Hall B in the end be 1 unit. Thus, the number of participants in Hall A in the end is 7 units. The difference in units between Hall A and Hall B is 6 units. AND This difference in units is represented by 624. So, 624 / 6 = 104 (1 unit) (number of participants in Hall A in the end) 104 x 7 = 728. (number of participants in Hall A at first) 728-120 = 608
