5 units = 4 parts + 486 (eq 1) 3 units = 7 parts + 149 (eq 2) Making the parts of both eqns the same, (Eq1×7) 35 units = 28 parts + 3402 (eq3) (Eq2×4) 12 units = 28 parts + 596 (eq4) From here (eq3-eq4), 23 units = 2806 1 unit = 2806÷23=122 5 units = 122×5=610 (ans for part a) 610 = 4 parts + 486 4 parts = 610-486=12224 1 part = 124÷4=31 3 parts (7parts-4parts)=31×3=93 (ans for partb)

1/5 of a number (100) is 20. Thus 1/4 of 100 is 25. Thus answer is C (25)

Denominator is 5 parts (draw 5 parts to represent the number) Shade one part since the numerator is 1. From here, 1 part = 20, 5 parts (number) = 5 x 20 = 100 Better to explain such qn in model drawing if ur kid is P4 n below. :)

Ans is 25. 1/5 is 20 so 1 whole will be 5x20 =100. 1/4 of 100 is 25.

BA Poh Ann

Yes ans is 25 because need to know the value of the number first, ie 100. :)

Since 4d = 3s, and her $ can buy 12d and 16s. Hence 12d can buy 9s. So she can buy a total of 16+9 = 25 stickers.
