Total = 370. Each need to have 185 to be equal. So, Josephine needs to give 349-185 = 164

Add both numbers 349 and 21 together to get 370 and divide it by 2 to get 185. Then use 349 to minus this number u found , 349-185= 164.

Maximum gift bags by David = 36/2 = 18 (2C+6S). Maximum gift bags by Rani = 24/2 = 12 (2C+6S). So total maximum gift bags = 18+12 = 30
