A= 3u B= 1u 2u = 165+45 =210 1u = 210/2 = 105 B = 105

After cut is 165cm shorter, so before cut is 165 + 45 = 210cm 210 is refer to the difference in length btwn rope a and b Then divide 2 and get 110cm as answer

1 apple cost $0.75 5 pears and 1 apple cost as much as 2 pears and 2 apples. So 3 pears is the same price as 1 apple. So 1 pear is $0.25 So 100 pears will cost $25. And 450 apples will cost $337.5 To total cost would be $362.50

Hi, Derek Toh. Cost of 3 pears is the same as 1 apple if you observe the first sentence carefully. :) For example, If I have to buy 1 more apple, I have to give up the buying of 3 pears.
