How to get the drawing for oranges?

Kwek YenPing

7/9 of fruits is 14 parts. Hence 1/9 is 2 parts. So 2/9 of fruits is 4 parts.

Annie Tan 7/9= 14/18, remain 4/18 (or 2/9) for oranges

I was lost in teaching my kids math until I chanced upon this group. It's wonderful for all the parents & educators to share their math problem & solutions. May I suggest for the questions posted, it would be useful to state the level (Primary 1/2/3/4/5/6) so parents like me won't panic to read P5 sum as P3 sum. Hee!

Good suggestion but some p4 questions can be found in p5 worksheets and p5 can be found in p6. Reason is because our math syllabus is an upward spiralling one. IMHO.. I find it better to approach questions with a more holistic approach

Such questions are quite common for P5/P6. Schools don't encourage pupils to use algebra
