If I use this method, how to continue? Should we minus 40 and minus 20 from Mike?

Hello Gek Poh. From your working , you simply multiply 5 units - 60 chocolates by 2 and equate to 2 units + 40 chocolates
2 × (5u - 60) = 2u + 40
10u - 120 = 2u + 40
10u - 2u = 120 + 40
8u = 160
u = 20

Thanks sir....Other than your method and my method..any other methods?

You are most welcome Gek Poh. Basically your method and the method I used are based on algebra. There are certainly other ways that can be used to arrive at the answer, but those methods will be less efficient to use.

My girl is taught this method though. Any methods is fine I guess, so long correct workings are shown

Pauline, your daughter's approach is the same one that Gek Poh used. We must bear in mind that we should try our best, ideally, to tailor methods to the ability and aptitude of individual students. Only when challenged in the right way will we see our children do better than us in mathematics.
