31+5=36 50-36=14 Therefore, 14litres have to be poured out from Tank T. Edited the statement to avoid unnecessary assumption.

Was there any mention that oil was poured into tank U in the question? The oil could just be poured away, can't it. Are we making unnecessary assumptions?

Hi,correct me if i'm wrong. Shouldn't the answer be 14? Tank T at first=31 After pouring=31+5=36 Therefore 50-36=14 So 14 litres of oil is poured out.

hi, yes. I misunderstood the question as Tank T having poured water into Tank U, hence the different working. Have amended it. Thanks though!
