I think the most important thing is that once the child reads this question, he/she needs to know what concept to use. 1/4 of the marbles and 1/6 of the marbles. So the child needs to know that the approach here is to make denominator the same. To make denominator the same, make use of common multiples and the common multiples of 4 and 6 is 12. Hope this helps

Age difference is always the same.
Find Halim's age 8 years ago: 56 - 8 = 48
Son's age 8 years ago: 48 / 8 = 6
Son's age now: 6 + 8 = 14 years old
Can anyone please help me to confirm with the right answer?

I have $28.50 (6x 4 nacho combo plus $4.50) and 3 popcorn combo. Using this info, subtract $3.50 and the cost of 3 nacho combo from $28.50 and you are left with $7 and 3 popcorn combo. Subtract 3 popcorn combo from the 4 popcorn combo and you are left with one popcorn cmbo which means one popcorn combo is worth $7.
