Hi, Jolene Koh. There is a hint in the problem you can use to find out the number of stamps each of them has. Hint 1 0.25 of Ali's stamps = 0.375 of Bala and Chee Ming's stamps. So, Ali's stamps = 4 x 0.375 = 1.5 of Bala and Chee Ming's stamps. Hint 2 Bala and Chee Ming's stamps = 4 units Ali's stamps = 1.5 x 4 units = 6 units. You can work out the number of stamps that each of them has by finding their total units to represent 240 stamps. For example, number of units = 240 stamps. 1 unit = 240 divided by the number of units. :)

Then, you must split the 4 units that you drawn into 8 units and shade 3 of them to show 0.375. 0.375 = 375/1000 = 3/8 in terms of equivalence. :)

Hi, Tamil Selvan. for (a), since 50% of shirts sold is 96, this means 96 S, L, and XL shirts were sold. S + L + XL = 96 You will be able to find the number of XL shirts sold. (b) Hint 1: Find the number of S shirts sold in December (10% more than in November) Hint 2: Find the number of M shirts sold in December (12 fewer than in November) Hint 3: Find the number of L shirts sold in December (2x more than November) Hint 4: Total shirts sold in November = Total shirts sold in December Hint 5: Subtract the total of Hints 1, 2, and 3 from Hint 4 to find the number of XL shirts sold in December. :)
