This question is challenging if you stick to the use of the Model Method because you need to resort to a "simultaneous equation" method in order to solve it. But the question is very manageable if one realises that the amount that Sarah had in a multiple of $198 (First Common Multiple of 22 and 18). Then, the solution can be easily obtained by doing some simple arithmetic in a systematic way as shown:

Tiong Beng Sim, you are most welcomed. It is good to remember that the math syllabus includes many other problem solving strategies as well. The child benefits most if he/she has a wide repertoire of heuristics at his/her disposal.
