Answer for No. 6 is $1086. Using the work-backwards method, 0.6 of his remaining money = $168 + $18 = $186, 0.6 = ⅗, ($186 ÷ 3) x 5 = $310, $310 + $55 = $365, ⅚ of his remaining money = $365, ($365 ÷ 5) x 6 = $438, $438 + $324 = $762 (which is ½ of his total money), The television cost $762 + $324 = $1086
