If Lance needs 3 more tarts to put the tarts in boxes of 4, he would have an odd number of tarts then. But the Q also states the he needs 2 more tarts to put the tarts in boxes of 6, which means he have an even number of tarts. Something is surely wrong with this Q.

Gives R8 when divided by 10 --> number ends with '8' Gives R4 when divided by 8 --> is a multiple of 4, but not 8. Listing numbers ending with '8', 08 18 28 ... Hence, ans is 28.

Given that the number when divided by 10 will gives a remainder of 8, I will assume the answer is 18. However, 18/8, the remainder is 2. So 18 is incorrect. The next assumption will be 28/10. Remainder also 8. And 28/8, remainder is 4. So, the smallest possible number is 28.

Nabira Sf Ong

Is 1unit not 10. Zhong, can pls show why 24+16 not 24-16

Zhong Shu Hao

because Keith GAINED 16, while John LOST 24. After this, The 2 extra units that John used to have is compensated full. So it is 2 units = 24 + 16 2 units = 40 1 unit = 20
