Hi Stella annd Vera, I am still not understanding the last part whereby 20+18+48=2u+54 based on the model drawn, shouldn't the equation be $18+48=2u+54? I am still lost. Would appreciate if u cld help. TVs in adv. 🙏

Here's a relatively simple question. Jason had 5 more marbles than Hakim. When Hakim gave away 7 of his marbles, he had 27 marbles left.How many marbles did they have altogether.The use of models here will be beneficial for younger students to practice the basics of model drawing before advancing to more difficult questions.
