Price of plate to cup is 3:2. A plate costs $3 more than a cup. So how much does a plate and cup costs respectively?

for every 3 plates sold, Amount earned = 3x$9 + 5x$6 = $57 Total amount collected = $2850 $2850/$57 = 50 Number of plates sold = 50 x 3 = 150 Number of items sold = 50 x 8 = 400 Total number of items = 400/ (4/7) = 700.
