The lengthy write up is merely for explanation. What i suggest that a student can present as working is to (1) show the ratio of DL : AC (2) show the ratio of area of triangle to area of @ rectangle since the height is the same

Since the average score from the first 2 tests is 60 (ie. 120 for 2 tests), therefore getting 60 for the 3rd test would achieve the same average score (ie. 180 for 3 tests).

Today, I will re-share a question that I did some time back. I encountered this question during lesson last week and my students found that using this method helps them solve it very easily. More importantly, there needs to be an understanding of the concept of finding a height of a container using the volume and base area. Hope it helps!
