If there wasn't a promotion, a 100% increase in tickets sold should be accompanied by a 100% increase in sales. In the question, sales increased only by 50%. Cost of promotional ticket was thus 150/200 × $9 = $6.75

Since 6 + 7 = 13 children are needed to increase the number of children in each group from 7 to 8, there must be 13 groups. Total number of children = 13 × 7 + 6 = 97 OR = 13 × 8 - 7 = 97 Number of children in the smaller class = (97 - 5)/2 = 46

Dear all, can I seek help on this pl.. I change to Lcm of 28...then how to proceed such as it is 1/2 as many cheese as walnut ....??

Since there were twice as many walnut muffins left as cheese muffins, using the lowest common multiple of 4 and 7 does not help solve the question. Cheese muffins Before 4 units After 3 units Walnut muffins After 6 units (twice of 3 units) Before 21 units (7/2 × 6 units) 21 - 4 = 17 units -> 68 muffins 1 unit -> 4 muffins 21 + 4 = 25 units -> 100 muffins
