Ratio of faster speed to slower speed
= 300 m/s : 200 m/s
= 3 : 2
So in the usual time Kenneth takes to cycle at 300m/min to school, the ratio of the distance covered at 300 m/min to that covered at 200m/min
= 3 : 2
Where 3 parts = the distance from Kenneth's home to school
Thus 3 - 2 = 1 part
= 200 m/min × (6 + 3) minutes
= 1800 m
Distance from Kenneth's home to his school = 1.8 km x 3 = 5.4 km

Tks Xavier Sng. Why 6+3 min?

Xavier Sng
If Kenneth cycled at 200m/min he would need 9 more minutes to reach school as compared to his normal speed of 300m/min

Just remember that for the same given time, the ratio of speeds is the ratio of distances covered too. That is why the answer is easily derived. Regards
Shaded areas
= (Pi × 6^2) + (Pi × 3^2) - (12 × 6)
= 36 Pi + 9 Pi - 72
= 69.3 square cm

You are most welcome, Mister Tiong. This question is a nightmare for most students if not all. The setter must have high regards for his or her students.
In the final equation, the bunch of grapes only has 11 intact....so, it should be 7+11+2=20

I don't think it is a question from enrichment book or teacher. I received this from a friend and i think it is just a light hearted, for fun question that someone created. so, don't take it too seriously ya. :)

Grapes = 11 , bananas = 6/3=2

Apple = 7, Grapes = 5+7=12, Bananas = (7-1)/3=2, Final line = 7+12+2 = 21
