Before A=40Kg Before B=3.6Kg 40-3.6kg=36.4 difference is 36.4 After A=40Kg+Y After B=3.6kg + Y 40kg + Y - 3.6Kg + Y = 36.4[7u] 36.4 / 7=5.2 5.2x8=41.6 41.6-40=1.6 Mrs Lee poured 1.6kg of rice into each container check 41.6 5.2 41.6/5.2=8

The key to understanding this is that as long as equal amount is added into both sides, the difference between them will be remain same.

the number of butter cakes never changed only the chocolates so Before 9 : 8 After 3:2=9:6 8-6=2[4 chocos] 4/2=2 2x9=18
