Hi, Janice Chee. The hint here is to divide Emma's 3 big units into 12 smaller units. Then, to show that Emma has 4 times more stickers than Francis, divide 12 by 4 to get the number of Francis' smaller units . Thus, based on the model, the 8 stickers must have represented the one smaller unit. :) You can solve the question from here now. :)

Assuming all are motorcycles, 18 x 2 = 36 wheels 60 - 36 = 24 Each car has 2 more wheels than a motorcycle. 24 / 2 = 12 cars Alternatively, you can draw figures to visualise better.

Assuming all 18 vehicles are motorcycles, 18 x 2 = 36 wheels Remaining = 60 - 36 = 24 wheels Find the diff in number of wheels between cars and motorcycles , 4-2= 2 Take 24 รท 2 = 12 So there are 12 cars Bal are 6 motorcycles Chk: 12 x 4 + 6ร— 2 = 48 + 12 = 60
