Good.. You figured out J:L = 20:25. After L gave J 110 comics, J:L = 3:1. Note that this is internal transfer, so total (J+L) is unchanged Toral number of units before the transfer = 20 + 25 = 45. After the transfer, total number of units = 3 +1 = 4 Equate them, lcm of 4 and 45 is 180 J:L = 20:25 = 80:100 J:L = 3:1 = 135:45 You see J will have 55 more units than before and L will have 55 units less than before 55u= 110 1u = 2 T:J = 17:20 = 68:80 You have to factor those ratio bevause you did that to units for Julie earlier 100u - 68u = 32u 32u = 64 Ans: 64 68u + 80u + 100u = 248u 248u = 496 Ans: 496
