From 1/2 to 3/5, volume increases by 650. 3/5 - 1/2 = 1/10 So, a 1/10 increase is represented by 650 of water. 3/5 = 6/10 ---> 6 x 650 = 3900 :)

at first = x beads gave away = 3/5x beads left = x - 3/5x = 2/5x beads bought 240 beads = 2/5x + 240 twice the number of beads she had at first = 2x 2x = 2/5x + 240 2x - 2/5x = 8/5x 8/5x = 240 1/5x = 240/8 = 30 x = 30*5 = 150 Answer: (2) 150

At first has 5 units, ended up 2x than what she has at first will be 10 units. At first 5 units minus 3/5 = 2/5. After 10 units - 2/5 = 8/5 = 240. 240 ÷ 8 = 30. 30 × 5 =150 beads at first.
