Hi! There are two important clues to solve this question. Hint 1: 1/4 of the children is 135 more than 1/5 of the adults. This means that one unit of children is more than one unit of adults by 135. Hint 2: How many units of children were there at first? How many units of adults were there at first? Solve these 2 hints and you will find how many adults there were at first. :)

Alternatively...using single variables->units only...instead of units and parts.. Clue-> no of children remainng is 135 more than no of Adult remaining.. 4/5 of Adult left-> 1/5 of Adult remained.. Note-.>0.75-> 3/4

No standard rules as there are various patterns. But with training, the general term can be obtained fairly quickly. And once the general term is obtained, one can get any term ☺

For this pattern, The white dots in each pattern form a square. The number of white dots on each side of the square formed = Pattern Number - 1

Chicken pie=46 Vegetable pie= 125 Fruits pie= 125x2=250 Total= 46+125+250=421 % of veg pie= 125/421 x 100 = 29.7%
