Having a line from opposite corners separate the rectangle into 2 equal triangles (ie. Top figure, A = B) For the question, looking at 2 sets of equal pairs of triangles (ie. Bottom figure, A = B, C = D), means that square E is having the same area as rectangle F.

Hi, Aishwarya Karthik. You will need to find the cost of 1 kg of flour and 1 kg of sugar. 250g of sugar ---> $3.20 1kg of sugar ---> $3.20 x 4 = $12.80 :) 1/2 kg of flour ---> $0.60 1 kg of flour ---> $0.60 x 2 = $1.20 :) 2kg MORE of sugar bought ---> 2 x $12.80 = $25.60 2kg LESS of flour bought ---> 2 x $1.20 = $2.40 How much more did he spend ---> $25.60 - $2.40 = $23.20 :) #SBfloursugar
