Sumei 4u+$5+$5+$7 at first
Josh 4u+$7 at first
If Sumei give $17
Sumei 4u in the end
Josh 7u in the end
7u = 4u+$7+$17
3u=$24
1u=$8
4×$8 + $17 = $49 (ans)

Internal transfer, so the total amt of $ will not change in both cases. Hence, make the units of the Total to be the same😊
C1: S gave J $17
S : J : Total
4 : 7 : 11
8: 14 : 22
C2: S gave J $5
S : J : Total
1 : 1 : 2
11 : 11 : 22
Since we are looking for Sumei, let's form equations using Sumei's original in both cases.
8u+ 17 = 11u + 5
3u= 17 - 5
= 12
1u= 4
Using C1, 8u+17= 49 (ans)
