36. 9=3x3 49=7x7 Total shaded area is 2x3x7=42 37. Work backwards Since D5C4 is a multiple of 9, adding the four numbers (D+5+C+4) have to be a multiple of 9. Which means C and D will be 2 or 7 respectively. Working backwards, D is 7, C is 2. A is 8 and b is 6
