Work backwards. In the end, there were 30 customers. If the 9 customers didn't come, then there would be 21 customers. This will be 3 units if you are drawing a model because 1/4 left. so 4/4 will be 28 customers. Say the 6 customers didn't come, so there will be 22 customers. Again, if you are drawing a model, then this will be 2 units because 1 unit, which is 1/3, left. So at first, there are 33 customers.

Tip: When you get an angle question that ask you for x + y, you need not find individual angles (find x then find y and then add). You can look at x + y as a whole.

Area ABCD = Area AFD + Area BHC. However there is an overlap Area EFGH (double count). Therefore Area EFGH is the total area of the shaded parts.
