SG chevron_right Primary 6 chevron_right Fractions

John had 72 more mangoes than oranges. After selling 3/4 of the mangoes and 3/5 of the oranges, he was left with 15 more oranges than mangoes. The mangoes were sold at $2.75 each and the oranges at $0.55 each. How much money did he receive altogether? This question is actually very straight forward but there are potential pitfalls here. If a student forgets the concept of equivalent fractions here, he would not be able to solve it. Watch the video and subscribe and get a clear picture of how this question is solved. Hope it helps!ps..was trying to get this video up since early today...but something seems to have gone wrong over on the side of YouTube. After much waiting, it's finally available!!
