There are FOUR hints to this question. HINT 1: 3/8 of her remaining money = 3/10 of total money at first. HINT 2: So, it means 5/8 of her remaining money = 5/10 of total money at first. HINT 3: Therefore, her remaining money = 8/10 of total money at first. ***HINT 4: Where did the 2/10 of total money at first go to? Her mother ($800). ***2/10 of total money at first = $800. So, total money at first = $800 x 5 = :)

Q3a. 75 / 5 = 15 (ie. 15 more papayas per unit) 285 - 15 = 270 2u: 270 1u: 270 / 2 = 135 135 + 15 = 150 150 x 4 = 600 papayas sold b. Total papayas sold = 600 Total coconuts sold = 135 x 3 = 405 Total fruits sold = 600 + 405 = 1005 Fraction of fruits sold which are coconuts = 405/1005 = 81/201 = 27/67
